Do You Have A Joseph Anointing Upon Your Life?

Psalms 105:17- He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

God is doing a unique work around the world today. He is raising up Josephs throughout the world. Some are still in the "pit" stage of their life, while others are heading toward fruitfulness. What does it take for a you to become a true Joseph? It takes years of preparation and testing to be a true Joseph. It takes what the psalmist says in Psalm 105: 17. He called down famine on the land and destroyed all their supplies of food; and he sent a man before them Joseph, sold as a slave. They bruised his feet with shackles, his neck was put in irons, till what he foretold came to pass, till the word of the Lord proved him true. The king sent and released him, the ruler of peoples set him free in Psalm 105:16-20.

A true Joseph is one who is a provider both spiritually and materially for those in the Body of Christ. It is a person who understands that he is simply a manager of all that God has entrusted to him. It is a person who has humility and a broken and contrite heart before God. But how does God prepare modern day Josephs?

Modern day Josephs are prepared through their own versions of bruised feet, with shackles and necks put in irons. It is often through the adversity of failed finances, failed marriages, failed relationships, and broken dreams. These are the things that try men the most. These are the things God uses to allow the Josephs of our day to be proven by the Word of the Lord. Once proven, God brings them out of their prisons and uses them mightily for God’s purpose. Joseph went through his own trials not because of any failure, but because of an incredible calling to save and provide for an entire nation. God had to prepare this man with 13 years of broken dreams and humble circumstances in order to break every ounce of pride and self-will in Joseph. God could not afford to have a 30 year old steeped in arrogance and pride running an entire nation. Are you willing to allow God to do whatever it takes for you to become a true Joseph? Ask the Lord today to do whatever is necessary to fully use your gifts and talents for His eternal Kingdom.

  1. Dearest Righteous Living,

I "stumbled" across this article this evening and I SO needed this Word of The Lord. I have been told I have a strong Joseph Anointing on my life, and it has been confirmed. I did not truly understand why I lost my job as a Graphic Designer 3.5 years ago, and why every job I applied for, I was never called for an interview. It seems like I just can't get ahead financially, and have had to deal with people lying on me, racism, people setting me up to fail, and jealousy in the job I now hold as a housekeeper at a golf resort. Even though, these things happen, and at times I grow weary, I do pray for those in need and have watched The Lord heal a man of 22 years of back pain, another of gout, another of cancer, as I was obedient to lay hands on them. The Lord has used me to give words of knowledge concerning new jobs or opportunities for some, and Words of His Love and comfort to others, Praise Jesus. I do often wonder how long I will be here. I have had Words spoken, and confirmed, over my life, but for now, here I sit in the "pit" waiting for the time when The Lord releases me. I do my job as unto The Lord and have received favor. And I will continue to hold to The Promises and wait. I am 43 years old. Earlier this year, I was cleaning a few weeks after turning 43. I walked outside to get a golf cart to head to the other course and clean restrooms. As I walked outside, I saw all the carts in a row as usual and was about to take the first cart. I felt the Spirit unction me to go and take the last cart, so I did. I could not see the numbers on the last carts but as I approached and stepped into the very last one, I saw 43 on it's side. The age I had just turned. The very next day, I repeated the routine but this time as I walked out, the very first cart was 43! The scripture that came to me was, "Those who have been last, shall be first." As I shared this with a dear Sister in Christ, she confirmed the very same scripture before I could tell her the scripture The Lord had given me. I know it is in His Time, and I will be faithful over what He has given me. I do believe it will happen in the next seven months, before my 44th birthday. Yesterday, I went shopping with my daughter for her birthday. We do not have a lot of money right now, but I thought we should get her a little something special. I went to the ladies room, and inside was a small older lady mopping the bathroom and cleaning the toilets. I watched as people passed her without a hello or even a look and smile. I washed my hands and felt the Lord nudge me to speak to her. I told her what a wonderful job she did on the restrooms, and how well kept and clean they were. This bright smile came across her face and she replied, "Thank you". I told her to have a blessed day and left. I understand what she goes through because God has allowed me to experience it, and it has given me compassion for those others overlook and cast off. Thank You for posting this Word and bringing even more clarity to where The Lord has me right now, and why He has me here. God Abundantly Bless You and the Ministry He has given you.

  5. I now understand what I have been going through--I have a Joseph-Daniel calling and a mantle to spread the gospel through ministry and business. It's a family calling. I was called to the ministry and did not know it. The Father has been trying to get my attention for years as I walked double-minded with one foot in the world. Finally, at the 40 year mark since my salvation, and the 33 year mark since I turned 18, He activated my commission and even spoke audibly to me, calling me into the ministry while hitting me over the head with a 2x4 to get me in proper alignment--finally!!! I have been going through the biggest trial season I have ever heard of. Truly it is like a movie screenplay with the most byzantine plot. The story is way too long to tell. But I have truly gone through catastrophe for the past 2 and a half years in particular--this has been my pit and prison period. Yea though I walk through the valley of the SHADOW of death, I will fear no evil because it's all a test; it's not a setback, instead it's the Father's setup!!! I will bless the Lord and His praises shall continually be in my mouth for this unspeakable opportunity which He has blessed me to understand! Now after all this time of testing, I will appear before Pharoah shortly, and the elevation to the palace will follow--but all this is not even about me; it's about all the hurting people in the world who need Jesus; and His glory!!! It's about the fact that we all have been double minded in the past, but no more--we must walk in the spirit and do the Father's will now. For that purpose the Father is patient with us and slowly purifies us, treating us as sons he loves, pruning us to bear more fruit. It's all to make us people others will follow into the gospel and who are Kings and Priests fit for the Kingdom. Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him!!! Thank you Father!!! I will humble myself under His mighty hand, and continue to walk in love living beyond my circumstances in faith preparing for the next season filled with glory!!! Grace and peace be multiplied to you all, my fellow Josephs! Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us--unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

  6. Everything the Father does with us, He permits us to experience a copy or a shadow first. The Joseph pit experience is like our Christian walk--if we pass the test of the pit/prison, we go to the palace, just like if we prove ourselves to be Christian by aligning with the Spirit and permitting Christ's life to be lived through us, we go to heaven.. or if we fail the test, we live in the pit (until He gives us another chance) just like if we fail to qualify as Christian either we lose rewards or worst case if shown to actually be counterfeit we go to Sheol......I just received this revelation; I hope it blesses someone..love, grace and peace to all

    1. My own revelation is embedded right in here. It is just a blessing to receive such enlightenment through the words of others, and to know that Christ carries us in place, in balance, like a delicate vase filled with fragrant flowers, the scent of which must be shared to bring others to Himself. Today I am the one who is blessed.

  7. I resonate with the email article on the Joseph annointing. It certainly shared some light in understanding that I am not riding through my circumstances alone and "comforting" to know that God is in the readiness of hand picking His people in this hour to stand up, fight and claim lost inheritance through relationship, divorce, finances and family. The enemy wants to rob, steal and destroy. His nature is to devour, constrict and restrict. The loss of hope is generated by the years of toiling what seemingly is a seedless harvest. Looking back it is a test building journey into a testimony. Desperate measures equates to a maturing in Christ. The more yearning, the more it becomes a lifestyle fashioned with beautful pages allowing followers and even non followers (the world who desires hope) to read and understand that in due season (not an overnight story) they will rise up like eagles and spread the true message of the goodnessand mercy of God. Humility, love, faith, trust are part ingredience of the final product to bring a message of hope. Refining and defining your destiny through Christ requires countless disciplined time and training to hear the Master's voice. Much like a record on a turntable. The needle is Our Master. The numerous turns of a record defines our time in His presence and the sound coming through the speakers is His Voice. A scratchy record equates to a scratchy voice. The enemy wants to bring in a Martha generation because he knows what "Joseph" can do. God is doing a suddenly. Our journey is to be expectant, surrender and break the mould of busyness by doing God's business. Hang out with storm chasers who can partner and fuel your road on an endless highway through Christ. Get ready and do it!

    1. Struan, your imagery is saddled with intimacy encounters. Thank you for sharing out of your years of not now. Perhaps Joseph's greatest test of maturity was the power of forgiveness. This is the bridge to salvation, Jesus' message to us. We can only enter into Father's plan and pleasure for our lives through asking forgiveness of our sin, living apart from Him.

This the message we carry, our pit to His palace. May.Father continue to lavish you with word pictures of His glory.
